Hey guys,

I've been fiddling around with AMR for a couple of months now and i think i've finally got a hang of it. My latest account got 2,896 signups and i've still got about 2,000 accounts that i've not sign up for. As for submissions, the last submission i did gave me an 80% success rate. Pretty awesome. But i'm still confused about getting them registered as backlinks. Say i've got about 700 links indexed by google .. but i probably only see 2 or 3 backlinks when i check on yahoo's site explorer. Any ideas? Anyways gonna share how i got better success at signing up and submitting

1. 8 word password 4 words 4 numbers ..
2. Use weird names like krabby patties
3. Go to www.fakenamegenerator.com and use the info there to fill in every box in the profile's infos
4. keep our author profile simple don't leave backlinks there
5. use hosted emails
6. Register in batches of 100 ... once you're done with 100 move on to confirm them first .. then move on to the next 100
4. once you have registered the batches, confirm it and if you get signups that don't confirm, go to your author account and clear the emails and try confirming again
8. For the next 5 days after your signups, reconfirm everything again everyday as some confirmation emails might come late.
9. Go back and try to register failed sites again everyday for the next 5 days.
10. after the 5 days, try the failed sites again and repeat the steps above

Submission
1. Fill in as much as you can in your categories to avoid mis matches ... for everyone of my niches i have at least 30 different words for categories.

Spinning
for spinning, i use MAR ... i spend the most time spinning my titles.. i'm talking about 40-50 lines of text as variations for a 5 word title
2. do the same for your summary, and the first 2 paragraphs of your articles.
3. Spin 1 word for every 4 words for the rest of the article
4. spin your keywwords in your resource box.

Well it works for me ,.. don't flame if you think its to basic .. feel free to ask question if you have any... if you find it informative, and you had success registering your article submissions as backlinks, please do share your methods with me. thanks!

I would like to add this for submissions: ALWAYS include the categories Miscellaneous and Uncategorized. Seems most directories will contain one of those categories.

How do you register in batches of 100?

Just select 100 from the select targets list?

if your goal is just to get backlinks from the articles, you don't need to spin anything, they will all be indexed by Google
it's called syndication

Yes i also wanted to know how do you batch them from 100 to 100? and another question?

How can i get the right categories for my niche? i only can find about 5, and my niche is about software, how can i get around 30 categories?

if you want better indexing you should check your links and use pinger, megapinger, or a service like http://linklicious.me/

this will help you index all your approved articles

thanks for the signup advice

I have more than 1,000 of those failed signups. Are you suggesting that one should go manually to each one of these sites and remove the author account?

I just tried reconfirming those that failed sending email confirmation, by selecting them and pressing Confirm button and nothing happened? The bottom status bar says: "No New Messages".

Is there other way?

Vince added a nifty little feature to this new version which will allow you to do a "Forgotten Password" function. What we are finding is that some site don't ever send out the initial email and there fore are left at an email status. I was testing it last night and got about another 1000 site to OK status after running on on all my email status sites.

The next release is just around the corner.

Thanks for the tips. I think a lot of us would really appreciate it if these tips and more could be compiled into a best practices list for signups.

I really don't have time to go through and sign up 100 accounts at time when there are 8000 on the list. I have about 4 accounts at the moment, so I'd have to do that 80x4=320 times if I were setting it up that way for these accounts. Do you really do this?

Right, I'm going to test this out. The fake name generator is a great recommendation! As far as using as many categories as possible goes, if you're looking for more, you could put your existing keywords in the GKT, and that then add a number of the new results it throws up. If anyone's got a better method of finding categories, I'm all ears.

I believe there is a sticky about getting better rates. I've also discussed this with Sniper...

Well I've had a look around, can't find that best practices sticky.

It's the same situation on the SEnukeX forum. I'm just totally baffled why so few forums seem to have them. Surely the most likely information that anyone going to an IM tool forum is looking for is a complied list of the best common knowledge of all the users, what a time saver that would be!

heh, i need some help..

am experiencing zero sign up rates..never mind the awsome!

is this normal? plus am getting loads of manual captcha's..is this normal too?

here's my setup:

- have used the recommended author profile config; fake name. mixed up password, all fields complete, hosted c panel email
- pop3: is hostgator....have followed the best practices for pop3 in this forum, passes pop3 test
- article is spun....loads fine in preview box...800 words...all fields filled correctly...categories,keywords done
- in the submit to directories section, have filtered health over 80%...about 2000 directories shown

so i press the submit button...and i get a screen of failures! ....gets to about 400, returns about 20 captcha's

so is this normal for AMR? at the moment i'm closing the director submissions off at 400.... but if it's normal, will let it run..to see what grand total is after 2000 tries....though i suspect that that might involve alot of captacha lso, even if it works

so any help appreciated thanks.... otherwise will give it a miss

cheers

d

HI Patchworks
What update were you talking about I guess the update has been released as you had written this 9 months back. But I could not find any function to get my hands on. Please advice.
I am also getting a very low sign ups & even low email confirmation. Out of 8000 sites, only confirmed (OK status) 1000 sites & another 2000 sites on mail status but I do not have any idea how to bring them to Ok status as when I download my mails I get "No messages to download" The sign ups were done a month back so there is no question of not receiving the mails. I logged in to my mail account & found that there are lot of unread mails but are not getting downloaded by AMR & unfortunately lead to confirmation.
Any update.

For my email Im using my hostgator account email which gets re-directed to a gmail account which is where AMR accesses the emails to confirm my directory accounts.

Is this good or going to harm my chances of getting my directories approved?

<<4. once you have registered the batches, confirm it and if you get signups that don't confirm, go to your author account and clear the emails and try confirming again>>

Could someone elaborate on this point. I dont quite understand the 'go to author account and clear the emails'. Does it mean the author's EMAIL account?... and why would deleting emails help in confirming directory accounts?

Thanks

Oz

ozbuckley, Deleting the mails might be his perception and not the fact. It should not help.

still getting awesome results? I'm getting shitty results now with this tool. I uploaded a 20k list. Got about 5k greens. Submitted with 800 word article with only one link in the resources and got 850 "OK's". Thats pretty janky compared to how it was when AMR first released :(

I'm still getting access to 288-384 dirs only. I actually did the steps is the "Awesome videos by others" that is stickied. I'm getting about 30-50% submissions now but that is still at 100-150. Should it be better?

I'm seeing how users are getting to 5000 or more dirs and over 1000 submissions... I can't figure out why mine are so low. I'm reading just about every thread on here...

I just did a submission to 288 dirs (still need to figure out how to get more dirs).

My results were "Submission Complete - Success: 230/Fail: 58 - 00:09:48"

That is a very high percentage, I think, right? I just need more directories to submit to.

Surely, submission rate is not the only consideration. There is approval and publication to be considered? I get a high submission rate, but when I check on these article sites for my article appearence it is often missing; I can only conclude that many article site operators are either not approving the submission or are removing it or perhaps they take a very long time to include it.

Has anyone else had this experience?

Yes it's more important that the articles get approved. I did a test, submitted to over 5k directories, 2k sign-ups, 1k successfully submitted, and only 200 approved articles. I believe this is auto-approved, so I could have more later on, but probably not more than 250. The above numbers are pretty close estimates...lazy to type out the exact numbers. So out of 1k, I get 20%...not really alot, looking to expand the article directory more.

Great tips! Thanks a lot for the info. Who has these 10-20k lists and is there a way to get hands on it?
