I am sure there are people content to use AMR to slap up any old spun garbage so long as it creates speedy backlinks to their sites. I understand this slinging mud at the wall technique and realise it has some value.

But a noun can also be a verb and an adjective so all those single word synonym groups that sound OK in one context, can produce meaningless gibberish in another.

And there is always a danger that someone will actually read this spun nonsense and flag articles for removal.

I took the viewthat it's better to spend time creating contextual synonym groups so that my articles still make sense when spun in the hope that the backlinks created might have a lasting value.

I have no idea where my AMR synonyms are stored and therefore - being able to backup my prepared synonyms to a file on my hard-drive would be really useful and comforting as I simply wouldn't have the patience to do this a second time in the case of a hard disk failure.

Is this an option developers would consider?

Does anyone else care about this?

SynGroups are stored in the articlemarketingrobot.mdb file located in appdata/articlemarketingrobot. That database is backed up by default every time your run AMR. You can toggle this option in tools - options.

Sorry for dumb question but I am partially sighted and cannot always find things easily - so where is the folder appdata/articlemarketingrobot as I want to back it up to a separate disk? With poor eyesight it takes me a long time to build the synonym groups.

Many thanks

(Vista / 7)
- On your computer Navigate to c:\users\YOURUSERNAME\appdata\roaming\articlemarketingrobot
(* note sometimes the AppData folder is hidden and can be made visible in control panel, folder options, view, show hidden files and folders)

(XP)
- On your computer Navigate to c:\documents and settings\users\YOURUSERNAME\application data\articlemarketingrobot

(All OS)
- Once inside the the appdata folder, locate the ArticleMarketingRobot.mdb file and copy it. Paste it somewhere safe, like your desktop.
