I have gotten an email from my hosting where my blog network is located complaining that I have been crashing their servers with amr submissions. I like to run the directories and my blogs in one submission for ease of use. However, when I run my blogs together AMR first runs the directories and then the blogs in turn. What happens is AMR posts on my blogs all at once severely impacting my hostings servers. (I run multiple copies of AMR doing this at once)

So my request is for AMR to randomly order the targets so my blogs get mixed in with the directories alleviating the strain on my hosts servers. Sure I could simply lower the threads but then it would take much too long to do submissions.

Yes, that is exactly what I need too. I know Vince can make it happen. :)

Not to hijack this thread, but I have the same issue when posting direct links to my site.

When I do an AMR blast, my server load goes nuts.

What exactly is causing this? I assume this is the auto approve sites in the AMR blast linking to my site, but what exactly is the issue? A link on another site communicates with my site? I don't get it. Is there anyway i can change a setting in my site so it doesn't effect the server load?

What causes it is that amr has to download and then submit the articles to your blogs, in doing this there is a bandwidth and CPU hit to the server your blog is hosted. It's no big deal if its doing it to one site but if you have 40 threads going it does it to 40 sites at once which adds up quick.

The only way (as of now) to alleviate this is to lower your posting threads. I think my suggestion would help in this as well however.

I have a considerable amount of sites on this host, it would take way too long to transfer them all.

nah.. they can be transferred over in less than 5 minutes... you just get the two hosts to chat and get the details so they can transfer the sites over in a flash! :)

Its what i did once, over 800 sites transferred at a click of a button. :)

It isn't that easy unfortunately, at least in my case for various reasons.
